Washing Dishes Toddler Activity💦 ages 1-3 💦 If your toddler is anything like mine, then water play is a favorite activity and this one was a HUGE hit!

Small dishes (these are from a tea set by Green Toys)
Today I set up a water play station so Alexander could try his hand at washing dishes. I started by taking some colorful sponges and cutting them into various shapes (circle, square, triangle & rectangle) so we could practice color and shape recognition. Then I added some water and dish soap to a white bin. He immediately jumped in and got to work! 😂 He kept saying “I’m washing dishes!” He continued to play for almost an hour (a major success in my book), adding more bubbles, squeezing the sponges and scrubbing the dishes. This fun sensory activity is great for developing fine motor skills, shape recognition and color recognition!
