What to Do:
Activity 1: Move the Sprinkles into the Heart
In this activity, you’ll try to move all the sprinkles into the heart using only the paintbrush. To set up the activity, draw a large heart in the middle of the baking sheet. Then add some sprinkles to the baking sheet. Use the paintbrush to move all the sprinkles inside the heart. Make it a game by challenging a friend to see who can do it the fastest!
Activity 2: Trace the Heart
Use the same heart from activity 1 to place the heart sprinkles around the heart on the line. To make it more challenging, place the sprinkles in a colorful pattern like we did. For an even bigger challenge, use the paintbrush to place the sprinkles.
Activity 3: Sort the Hearts by Color
For this activity, use a wet wipe to erase the big heart and then use the markers to draw smaller hearts in the colors of the sprinkles. For the white hearts, we drew a black heart. Then use your fingers (or the paintbrush for a bigger challenge) to move the heart sprinkles into the correct heart shape until all the sprinkles are sorted by color.
Activity 4: Finish the Pattern
For the final activity, use a wet wipe to erase the small hearts and then draw several horizontal lines on the baking sheet. Then use the sprinkles to make different patterns on each line. Finally, use the remaining heart sprinkles to complete the patterns on each line.
