Summer Screen Time Checklist ✔ ages 4+ ✔ Summer is the time of year we slow things down a bit, but my boys still need structure and rules to keep them moving and motivated. This year we are utilizing this screen time checklist. My boys love their screens (from iPads, to TV to video games) and I’m always trying to come up with activities to keep them off or limit their screen time. I put this list together with the objective of teaching them responsibility, kindness and gratitude while still keeping them learning.
I started the Summer Screen Time Checklist with these tasks to teach them personal responsibility (as well as lighten mom and dad’s workload):
* Get Dressed
* Brush Your Teeth
* Eat Breakfast
* Make Your Bed
* Pick Up Your Room
* Do One Household Chore
Then I added:
* Read 30 Minutes
* Build/Create for 30 Minutes
* Play Outside for 30 Minutes
These tasks will keep them learning, growing and moving!
Finally, I ended the list with:
* Show Gratitude to Someone
* Say One Kind Thing to Each Family Member
These tasks are important for building kindness and gratitude in our kids and are just as important (if not more) in their growth and development!
Hope you like our list and can find ways to utilize it with your kids this summer!
