Straw Flag Activity 🇺🇸 ages 5+ 🇺🇸 This simple activity is perfect for Memorial Day, 4th of July or any patriotic holiday!
Materials needed (affiliate links):
Straws (we found a box with red, white and blue straws at Christmas Tree Shops)
Start with a handful of red, white and blue straws. Then cut a piece of contact paper to the width of the straws and tall enough to accommodate 13 straws (ours turned out just a bit short so we only used 12 straws, oops). Next stick the straws to contact paper. Once you get close to the top of the flag you will need to cut the straws to allow room for the stars section.
Once all the straws have been placed it’s time to add some stars. We used a toothpick and some white paint to add stars to the blue straws. Finally we taped a white straw to the back for a flagpole. So easy! 👍🏻🇺🇸❤
