Materials Needed to Make a Love Letter Sensory Bag:
(affiliate links)
- Sealable Plastic Bag
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Cotton Ball
- Red Permanent Marker
- Cupid Outline (we found this free one with a quick online search)
- Clear Hair Gel (or any clear liquid like handsoap or hand sanitizer will work)
- Plastic Heart Vase Fillers (We found ours at our local dollar store.)
- Clear Packing Tape or Painter’s Tape
How to Make a Love Letters Sensory Bag:
- Start by taking a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and rub it on the plastic bag label to remove the label.
- Place the cupid outline under the bottom left corner of the bag and use a red permanent marker to trace the shape of the cupid onto the bag. Remove the cutout from under the bag to reveal your cupid drawing.
- Add hair gel (or similar consistency liquid) to the bag.
- Add 10-12 red and pink acrylic hearts to the bag.
- Lay the bag flat and remove as much air as possible before sealing bag.
- Secure the top and bottom of the bag to the table with clear packing tape.
- Finally, ask your child to move the hearts around to create letters of the alphabet (or numbers, shapes, patterns, etc.)
