Handprint crafts are some of our favorite to create and this adorable Handprint Peacock Craft is so simple to make (It literally takes 15 minutes tops!) and they’re so beautiful they can be used to decorate your table or dresser! This design also works to make any bird! My boys had so much fun personalizing their peacocks in all kinds of colors and patterns!

MATERIALS NEEDED (affiliate links):
- Empty Paper Roll
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Green & Yellow Construction Paper
- Quick Dry Paint Sticks
- Glue Stick
- Googly Eyes
WHAT TO DO:
- Start by pressing your paper roll flat.
- Then use a pencil to draw an outline like the one pictured:
- Cut along the lines and the make the roll round again so what remains of the roll will stand up straight. This is your peacock’s body. Bend the feet up to create a sturdier standing surface.
- Next, take the green construction paper and trace both hands on the paper.
- Use scissors to cut out the hand outlines.
- Next, use the quick dry paint sticks to decorate your peacock. We love using Kwik Stix and the metallic version works great for the golden color. You could also use real paint, but the quick dry paint sticks dry in 90 seconds and are an amazing no-mess option.
- Use a small amount of glue to attach your handprint feathers to the back of the paper roll.
- Add googly eyes to the face of your peacock.
- To make the beak, cut out a small triangle using yellow construction paper and glue to the face of the peacock.
That’s it! Now your bird is complete and ready to add to your Thanksgiving table! My kids all put their own spin on this peacock craft and I just love how they all turned out!
