Sometimes I pinch myself at how lucky I am to get access to all the amazing toys and cool STEM products we get to play with and today was one of those days. My boys and I are HUGE fans of any magnetic toys like magnetic tiles, magnetic rocks, etc. And when we first saw the Geomag Magicube Free Building Set, it was love at first sight! This post is in partnership with Geomagworld.
Magicubes are designed for kids ages 1 and up. I initially thought my 2-year-old and 6-year-old would be most entertained by them, but little did I know that my older kids (7 & 9) would love them just as much!
Magicubes are seemingly magical magnetic building blocks that allow you to easily create 3-D structures. The cubes pop into place because of the magnets, but easily pull apart as well. They are also beautiful, vibrant colors with each side of each cube a different color.
Check out the boys building various awesome structures including a pyramid house, a bridge, a cube and a chair in the below video!
There are so many activities and skills that can be developed by working with these cubes including: fine motor skills, color recognition, creativity, free-play, engineering, pattern building, sorting, stacking and so many more.
The sets are a bit pricey ($77 for a 27 cube set and $165 for a 64 cube set), but they are well worth the price for the amount of play and use you will get out of them. I would highly recommend them for birthday and holiday gifts!
